Youth Activities

At Catshill Baptist Church, children and young people enjoy activities during the week as well as on Sunday mornings. These are organised to meet the abilities of specific age groups. Each group is run by a team of dedicated volunteers and leaders. Together they plan a wide range of enjoyable activities and challenges. During each mid week session there is a time of Christian teaching and reflection. The Sunday morning activity sessions provide a greater depth of Christian input.

Children from Christian families and from non faith family backgrounds attend and fully participate in the weekly groups. Volunteer adults seek to make good relations with all the children and young people and to establish strong links with their parents. They reassure the parents about child protection and health and safety procedures both whilst meeting on the church premises and when they go out for activities elsewhere in the locality. The church retains volunteer children’s advocates to help both children and adults with particularly sensitive issues. During the week the following groups meet:

On Sunday morning the following groups meet during the morning worship times of 10.30am– 12.00noon.  The children remain in the initial all age worship session before moving out to their groups.

TLC                  babies to 4 year olds approximately

Xcellr8             4 - 11 years approximately

Refuel            11 - 14+ years
