A fun filled hour learning about our great God and the things he’s done for all 5-11 (reception to year 6) children. We meet all together with our church family for the first two songs, and then go out for our own time together. Games, puppets, Bible reading and talking about what it means for us as kids today, along with crafts (sometimes), singing and lots of fun! Come and join us at 10.30am you will be very welcome!
The boring bits (just for adults..) Why do we do what we do? The Bible says in Psalm 78 v 4,6,7
"We will not hide God’s truth from this generation; we will tell them the awesome things he has done... so the next generation might know them, even the generation not yet born, so each generation can set its hope on God anew."
Every team member knows God in a personal way. We believe the Bible is the word of God and we want to share with the kids we come into contact with, the difference that God can make in their lives. We believe that children do matter to God, that he does have a plan for every life, a plan that is good, and starts with our coming to know not just about him, but to know him personally.
Our ministry goals are to see children
Moving on: Walking the faith journey in a growing relationship with God.
Moving up: God-wards through prayer, Bible reading, worship and listening to God.
Moving in: Taking their place in the church, finding their place of service/gifting and using gifts to bless the church. Accepting their responsibility to pray, give and be part of the community of faith.
Moving out: Taking their faith out into the world through word and action.
Every team member is CRB checked and interviewed before joining the team, and we have a number of qualified first aiders. We do take the safety and security of the children in our care very seriously. For each child attending a group we will ask parents to complete a registration form, giving such info as emergency contact details and medical issues.
We believe that parents are the main disciplers of their children, and so seek opportunities to share what is happening on Sunday morning by sending home things for you to follow up with during the week.
